Description

This is the best hamburger recipe, featuring 7 easy steps to create the ultimate crack burger. Juicy, flavorful, and packed with delicious toppings, this burger is bound to become your new favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
  • Pickles (sliced, for topping)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and brush it with olive oil.
  2. Form the ground beef into 4 equal-sized patties, ensuring they are slightly larger than your buns. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty to melt.
  4. While the burgers cook, prepare the sauce by combining mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by spreading the sauce on the bottom bun, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese. Add pickles and onions on top.
  7. Place the top bun on and serve immediately with your favorite side dish.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a fried egg on top of the burger.
  • Feel free to swap out the cheddar for your favorite cheese, such as American, Swiss, or pepper jack.
  • To keep the burgers juicy, don’t press down on them while cooking.
  • If you prefer your burgers spicy, add some jalapeño slices or a spicy mustard to the sauce.
