Ingredients
1½ cups all-purpose or whole wheat flour
½ cup unflavored whey protein powder
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder or onion powder (optional)
½ cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
¾ cup plain Greek yogurt
1 large egg
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Optional: cooked sausage, chopped herbs, or sautéed spinach
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, protein powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and optional seasoning
Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter or fingertips until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
Whisk Greek yogurt and egg together, then fold into dry ingredients gently
Stir in cheese or other add-ins if using
Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheet or roll out and cut into rounds
Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden on top and cooked through
Cool briefly before serving warm
