Ingredients
-
400g (about 3 cups) frozen strawberries
-
1½ tablespoons (22 ml) fresh lemon juice
-
2 to 3 tablespoons (30–45 ml) maple syrup or honey, to taste
-
Optional: 1–2 teaspoons water (only if needed to blend)
-
Optional: fresh mint leaves or a pinch of salt for flavor boost
Instructions
-
Add frozen strawberries, lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup to a high-speed blender or food processor.
-
Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. Add 1–2 teaspoons of water only if necessary to help blend.
-
Taste and adjust sweetness with additional maple syrup if desired.
-
Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture.
-
For scoopable consistency, transfer to an airtight container and freeze for 1–2 hours. Let sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before scooping.
Notes
Use sweet, ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
Pre-freeze fresh strawberries for at least 2 hours if not using pre-packaged frozen.
You can swirl in Greek yogurt or banana for a creamier version.
