Description

Pop Tart Dessert combines a flaky pie crust, sweet strawberry jam, and nostalgic glaze to create a fun, creative twist on a classic toaster pastry. It’s one of the best fruit pie flavors for parties, birthdays, or simple joy-filled baking days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 refrigerated pie crusts (or homemade, rolled to fit your pan)
  • 3/4 cup strawberry jam (thick and good-quality preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Rainbow sprinkles (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Set to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease your pie pan.
  2. Prepare base: Roll out one crust and press into the pie pan.
  3. Make filling: Stir together cornstarch and water, then mix into jam.
  4. Fill the pie: Spread jam mix on bottom crust, leaving ½-inch border.
  5. Top it: Add second crust, trim excess, and crimp edges with fork.
  6. Egg wash: Brush top and vent with fork pricks.
  7. Bake: 25–30 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely.
  8. Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over pie.
  9. Decorate: Sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles and serve!

Notes

  • Use thick jam to avoid soggy crust.
  • Cool completely before glazing to prevent icing from melting.
  • Seal edges well to keep filling inside while baking.
  • Make mini versions in muffin tins for variety or parties.
